Union Budget 2024 Live Updates: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present her seventh Budget 2024-25 on July 23, Tuesday. The first budget of the Modi 3.0 government, to have the economic vision for 2030 and 2047, is full of expectations ranging from income tax relief to various announcements to push India’s economic growth.

The Budget 2024 is expected to give an impetus to rural development, incentives for affordable housing, incentivising states to promote manufacturing and MSMEs. A part of the spending will also be directed towards education and healthcare.

The full Union Budget 2024-25 is going to be presented on July 23 in the Lok Sabha. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will start her Budget Speech at 11 am. This will be Sitharaman’s seventh Budget Speech in a row, making her India’s second finance minister to do so.

On Tuesday, ahead of the budget, the customary Halwa ceremony was performed to mark the final stage of the Budget preparation process for Union Budget 2024, which was held in North Block in New Delhi. It was held in the presence of Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary. The Halwa ceremony was also attended by secretaries of the finance ministry, CBDT Chairman and CBIC Chairman, besides officials of the finance ministry and North Block Budget Press.
